Head of Mobile Innovation at Transport for London

Dr Janko Mrsic-Flogel has 13 years experience in Mobile Internet, 16 years experience in Internet and was a pioneer of mobile messaging and mobile data applications.
At TFL, Janko heads the mobile innovation activities including mobile mapping, mobile journey planning and NFC information related projects. Prior to joining Transport for London he was Managing Director of Dynamical Systems Research from 1993 to 2000 and subsequently the Technical Director at Digital Mobility. He also served as Director of Applied Technology at BBC Vecta, the BBC’s Veturing arm. Janko has achieved high-yielding returns to shareholders in technology company sales and is the founder of several successful IT and Telecoms ventures.
Janko holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College, London where he was Lecturer in Computing Science.
Janko is an acknowledged speaker, author of over 60 scientific publications and inventor of patent applications in areas of Computing, Neural Networks, Telecommunications, Interactive Television and Electrical Engineering.
