Mastercard and Apple: some NFC rumors
Web rumors about a recent interview with MasterCard’s Ed McLaughlin hints Apple might still be getting into the mobile transaction business. McLaughlin said that he didn’t know a handset manufacturer who wasn’t working to integrate PayPass via NFC in their phones. When prodded about Apple, Ed said he couldn’t mention partners by name, but when asked if Apple was a vital part of pushing contactless payments into the mainstream did go on to say “Anytime someone with a major base moves forward, it advances what you’re doing”.

NFC was an expectation for the iPhone 4S, but the Apple’s choice was to implement only Bluetooth 4.0 technology instead of NFC.
If the next iPhone 5 will embed NFC, let’s think about the Apple usual way to change our world to imagine what NFC will be in the future…
LG Miracle: the new Windows Phone
A new LG smartphone, the Miracle, has been leaked online and is expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress later this month.
The LG Miracle was previously known as the LG Fantasy and will run on the Windows platform. Miracle will have support for NFC, which will presumably be enabled when the smartphone gets updated to Windows 8.
Another interesting feature of the LG Miracle is its display: the LG’s NOVA, one of the brightest displays in the world, great even in low and high-light conditions.
The LG Miracle has a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, 8GB of on-board memory, a 5 mega-pixel camera and will launch on Windows Phone Mango.
The LG Miracle is expected to launch sometime in the Spring. We will let you know the newest information directly from Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
